INTERNSHIP PROGRAM
NY SportsMed is committed to providing educational opportunities to motivated individuals interested in a successful career in physical therapy. By dedicating ourselves to the advancement of others through education, we refresh our commitment to excellence within our own facility as well as the entire field of physical therapy.
Our internship program attracts students from near and far. If you have what it takes to excel in the field and are interested in an internship program at NY SportsMed in Manhattan New York, we will be happy to work with your school to help you qualify for the program. Students accepted in the internship program at NY SportsMed receive work experience during clinical rotations of four to twelve weeks in our private outpatient rehabilitation facility in the heart of Manhattan New York, have direct interaction with our physiatrist, physicians and patients, and gain a great deal of valuable experience.
To apply for an internship at NY SportsMed, your participation must first be approved by your school. Once approved, you can then submit a resume and cover letter to us, which will be followed by a personal interview. If approved for inclusion in our internship program, your school must submit the required documentation to us 90 days prior to the start of your internship.

VOLUNTEER PROGRAM
All physical therapy schools require students to volunteer at a medical facility and NY SportsMed allows volunteers to become active members of our team and earn up to thirty hours of credit. Volunteers at NY SportsMed have the opportunity to shadow a physical therapist throughout the course of their day. This exposure provides students with experience in both patient care, as well as the business aspects of a physical therapy practice.
