Edyta Friend has helped hundreds of patients recover from neurological, orthopedic and sports related injuries and conditions. Her extensive training in manual therapy, along with her sensitive and caring nature, is a combination that offers patients expertise along with compassion. Edyta specializes in manual therapy techniques with an emphasis on trigger point, myofascial, and neurofascial therapies, as well as manipulation. Edyta’s experience spans a number of years within some of New York’s top physical therapy establishments. She has worked as a Physical Therapist at the Rusk Institute as well as at outpatient orthopedic clinics in Manhattan and Brooklyn. She also received a Master’s degree from Touro College in 2003.
Edyta believes in the importance of educating her patients about their conditions and what they can do to avoid future injuries or worsening of their conditions. Through education, she encourages patients to be active participants in their healthcare and to focus on prevention in order to keep their bodies in an optimal state of health.
