Alina Prescornita incorporates a background in yoga and Pilates to enhance her strong manual therapy skills, providing a more comprehensive treatment approach when working with her patients. During physical therapy treatment, she emphasizes proper body mechanics, postural body control and rehabilitation exercises. She also practices a hands-on approach and is experienced in optimizing patients’ recovery and performance through the use of trigger point release and Kinesio taping techniques.
Alina received a Bachelor of Science degree in Physical Therapy from the University of Bacau in Romania, where she studied kinesiology, biomechanics and applied health sciences. She also received an Associate in Arts degree from Touro College in New York, majoring in physics and biology and maintaining Dean’s List status every semester. Alina is licensed as a Physical Therapy Assistant in the state of New York and is currently working as a PTA at NYSM while completing her licensing as a physical therapist.
Alina believes in the importance of maintaining an active lifestyle and stays active through her participation in yoga, Pilates and biking. She also enjoys photography and speaks Romanian and French.
